Not sure how my blog entry ended up on the wrong site. Anyway there's more I can say. Yesterday on the way home from rail booking office I visited my fruit cake man. I said to the first person I met in the shop, "Are you my fruit cake man?" Understandably he was a little taken aback by such an impertinent question.
However, he quickly recovered his equilibrium and fetched me a fruit cake. As he was about to wrap it up he changed his mind and chose another one. When I questioned him, he replied that that this one was freshly baked. And it surely was. It smelt delicious and warm. Because I was his old customer Mr Mullick kindly knocked 10 rupees off the price. I will have a piece with my coffee this morning. It looks a little brown in the photo but that's just the light.
